Who is Jesus?

 

According to Paul of Tarsus:

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight--

According to John:

"In the beginning was the Word (Logos), and the Word (Logos) was with God, and the Word (Logos) was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1

According to John the Baptist:

15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.'"
16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
19 Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?"
20 He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, "I am not the Christ."
21 And they asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No."
22 Then they said to him, "Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?"
23 He said: "I am 'The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Make straight the way of the LORD,"' as the prophet Isaiah said."
24 Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees.
25 And they asked him, saying, "Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?"
26 John answered them, saying, "I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know.
27 "It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose."
28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
30 "This is He of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.'
31 "I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water."
32 And John bore witness, saying, "I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
33 "I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'
34 "And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God."
35 Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.
36 And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God!"
37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, "What do you seek?" They said to Him, "Rabbi" (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), "where are You staying?"
39 He said to them, "Come and see." They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).
40 One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ).
42 And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone).
43 The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, "Follow Me."
44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
46 And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!"
48 Nathanael said to Him, "How do You know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."
49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"
50 Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig tree,' do you believe? You will see greater things than these."
51 And He said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man," NKJV. John 1.

According to Peter:

"And Simon Peter answered and said, 'Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. ' " Mt 16:16

According to Luke:

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

According to Isaiah:

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

According to John:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." John 3:16

What is a Rechabite Christian? Or what is a Hippie Christian?


The people are called the Recabites, a family that was singled out by God as an example to Israel, an example of a family that was obedient. We as Rechabite Christians can be an example to the Body of Christ and the World by our obedients to God through Christ. Words won't save you, but they might some one else. The only thing you can take with you in the End is Someone Else...!




35 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord during the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: 2 “Go to the Recabite family and invite them to come to one of the side rooms of the house of the Lord and give them wine to drink.”

3 So I went to get Jaazaniah son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, and his brothers and all his sons—the whole family of the Recabites. 4 I brought them into the house of the Lord, into the room of the sons of Hanan son of Igdaliah the man of God. It was next to the room of the officials, which was over that of Maaseiah son of Shallum the doorkeeper. 5 Then I set bowls full of wine and some cups before the men of the Recabite family and said to them, “Drink some wine.”

6 But they replied, “We do not drink wine, because our forefather Jonadab son of Recab gave us this command: ‘Neither you nor your descendants must ever drink wine. 7 Also you must never build houses, sow seed or plant vineyards; you must never have any of these things, but must always live in tents. Then you will live a long time in the land where you are nomads.’ 8 We have obeyed everything our forefather Jonadab son of Recab commanded us. Neither we nor our wives nor our sons and daughters have ever drunk wine 9 or built houses to live in or had vineyards, fields or crops. 10 We have lived in tents and have fully obeyed everything our forefather Jonadab commanded us.




What is a Rechabite Christiain



Standing alone. There is a great example in Jeremiah 35. The people are called the Recabites, a family that was singled out by God as an example to Israel, an example of a family that was obedient. While the people of Israel were busy rebelling against God in every way this family was being fully obedient to their patriarch and family leaders.

In our time we live in a culture when disobedience and disrespect are the watchwords. Children grow up to be disobedient and disrespectful because we teach them how by our own lives. We don't bother to teach them obedience and respect for others. Perhaps we don't even know what it looks like anymore because its so rare.

God says in John 14:15 "if you love me you will obey me." Will we? Will we teach our children to? Do you have a good handle on God's commands and principles for life so that you can be obedient? Do you study His Word looking for them? Time is short. Give yourself a blessing and your children blessings for generations. Learn how He calls you to live from His Word and be obedient to it. Grow in maturity and sanctification. Read the account of the Recabites and see how God honored them by using them as an example in a rebellious world. Perhaps you can be a Recabite too.


A Rechabite was never to drink wine, and always be sober minded, a Rechabite was to live in Tents and trust God to meet all there needs. Verse 7, 9, crops. Look at Matthew 6:25-34 Matthew 6:33 Matthew 10:10



Growing of crops was not evil,but the Rechabites where to trust God to meet all there needs.The growing of crops was a form of selfsufficiency and not trusting God. If I can do it my self, then I don't have to trust God to meet all my needs.



Some people say that the Rechabites were life long Nazirites, meaning that they never cut there hair or beards. Numbers 6:1-21



As a Rechabite Christian we are to live seperated lifes from the world, no drugs, wine or stronge drink. Live the Four basic's everyday; 1. Read the BIBLE,2. PRAY,3. FELLOWSHIP with other BELIEVERS and 4. SHARE , WITNESS, HEROLD the WORD OF GOD, {Street Preach} Market place Evangalism.



Rechabite are Nomads, we live in tents...Jeremiah 35:7... 1 Timothy 6:6-8



We are to live our faith, intentionally, before all men.



161 unsaved people die every minute. People are dying to go to Hell! Who are you dying to Save?



Jesus sent his disciples out to Preach the Gospel, Heal the Sick,Cast out Demons, Matthew 10:1-10 Mark 6:8-12 Luke 9:3-6 Luke 10:2



Mark 16:15...Go into ALL the World and Preach the Gospel { Good News } to all creation.





We are to live the Salvation Message before all mankind, we are to be HEROLDS of the Word of God.{ Preachers of the Gospel.}





Living in Tents, keeping a Sober mind, and Always Herolding the World of God, living a intentional christian life style before all mankind, are some of the things a Rechabite Christian is all about.





Not all christians are Rechabites, but all christians are born again. With out Jesus as our Lord and Savior there is no Hope for anyone. John 3:3...John 3:16




It's better to have Never been Born, then to Never, have been Born Again!



Romans 10: 9-10



We as Rechabite Christians can be an example to the Body of Christ and the World by our obedients to God through Christ. Words won't save you, but they might some one else. The only thing you can take with you in the end is other people...!



18And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:

19Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.

CooL...You can see the Blue sky...but can you but it in a glass Jar...If you did you would only have air. What happen to all the Blue? And why Can't I see the Air? It's still there! There is a God and the Only way to Know him is through Jesus. He is a personal God that wants to have a personal relationship with you.

Some say the Rainbow Family of Living Light is the largest non-organization of non-members in the world. The Rainbow Family has no leaders, and no organization. To be honest, the Rainbow Family means different things to different people. I think it's safe to say the Rainbow Family is into intentional community building, non-violence, and alternative lifestyles. The Rainbow Family also believe that Peace and Love are a great thing, and there isn't enough of that in this world. Many of the Rainbow Family traditions are based on Native American traditions, and the Rainbow Family has a strong orientation to take care of the the Earth. The Rainbow Family gathers in the National Forests yearly to pray for peace on this planet.

11. We are not denominational. We are simply generic Jesus believing Yahweh loving Christians. When asked what church we go to we simply respond; wherever the Spirit leads us.

12. We attend and support a local fellowship of our choice faithfully and financially.

13.We do not judge the people we are called to serve.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord:
