So, back to the Tzolkin. The number/glyph combinations are also known as "harmonic correspondences," for this is ultimately what we are discussing with the Tzolkin is harmonics. Harmonics is what is occurring when someone is tuning a guitar. The guitar string must be vibrating and creating sound at the proper frequency and waveleth in order to make the right sound. This is harmonics. But, in the Tzolkin, we are discussing the harmonics of light rather than sound. We are speaking of different frequencies and wavelengths of light. In modern scientific terms, we would refer to these different frequencies and wavelengths of light as infrared light, ultraviolet light, the visible spectrum, etc.

In reply to Echolynnrain, those skulls are very important to what is going to happen in 2012. They are giant quartz crystal computer chips that are programmed with alot of information that is going to be very important. The Maya also hold a certain crystal that is the only one of its kind on Earth, but is not a skull. This crystal is probably the most important of any gem on Earth. But I don't want to get too far off track here.

Alright Dylan. I watched a really cool doc last nite about the crystal skulls. It was on the SYFY channel and it was called "The Mystery of The Crystal Skulls" hosted by Lester Holt. Then right after that hour long doc they showed a 2 hour long doc about 2012. I fell asleep during the second hour though, haha. But I wasn't bored just sleepy. Anyway...it was really cool as I've seen some docs on the History channel about 2012 but never one just on the crystal skulls. :)

The dots and bars in this diagram are the numbers. A dot =1. A bar=5. Remember, though, that these numbers are not quantatative, as is 1 orange and 5 apples, but rather refer to different qualities of light.

For instance, the Day of the Dead was celebrated last Saturday or Sunday in Mayan culture (around the same time as Halloween in American culture). This day is represented by the glyph Cimi or World-Bridger meaning bridging the world of the dead and the living.

OK, so now back to the 260 day sacred calendar- the Tzolkin. I believe that I might have gotten a pure-blooded Quiche Maya from Guatemala to help me with this part. This not only involves astronomy and mathematics, but also the culture and stories behind the glyphs. Hopefully I can get all of this right.

Here is a Gregorian Month Calendar showing exactly when the aurora borealis will occur. This is to show how predictible that this phenomenon is. This is why it is an important element of natural real time on Earth.

As you can see, though, according to Sitchin there was no extraordinarily cataclysmic event at the beginning of the Long Count in 3113, 3114 B.C. If anyone would know, it would probably be Sitchin. And this may be the case in 2012 also. What I say is to hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
