Last Breath (poem)
It's early still
no birds yet in the air
A shallow breath
as I try to call out your name
& yet the sun still fails to shine
Another breath
it's getting harder to breathe
each moment
pain is trickling down my body
as I breathe
Breathe I tell myself
as I try for another breath
Your face now all I see
The Sun
comes with another breath
as I breathe again
Birds
chirp out your name
as I see your face
Never to Breathe Again
